Hello - I'm Jackie. I have lived with my husband in South Warwickshire for 26 years. I’m a trained nurse and Mum to three daughters in their early twenties.I am very aware of the growing tendency for intervention in pregnancy and birth and I passionately believe that women should be supported in understanding the choices available to them. Only then can they make informed decisions and approach labour confidently and calmly. Knowledge and support are empowering.
As a trained nurse and doula I have the skills and compassion to support women at this special time in their lives. Your baby is precious and you both deserve a birth that can be enjoyed without anxiety, stress or fear. I can ensure that practical comfort measures and one to one emotional and spiritual support allow the mother to feel safe and secure when at her most vulnerable.
I have completed Doula training with both British Doulas and Nurturing Birth. I am a Peer Supporter with the Association of Breastfeeding Mothers.
I am a member of Doula UK and as such my practice reflects the Doula UK philosophy and the Doula UK code of conduct. I hold full public indemnity insurance, NSPPC Child Protection Awareness, and an up to date enhanced CRB check.
